UNESCO BMW has provided inner peace practices to the community of Frederick since 2014. Each session is one hour long and is designed to support and uplift the emotional and mental well-being of all ages through inner awareness practices. In one of our proposals, we would like to target the Frederick County ACE population in the 6th to 8th grade school grade hierarchy. We will create an exhibition space open to the public, free of charge, whereby whoever enters can experience the state of sustainability for Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions through exhibited Art Works. There will be an exhibition of photos, paintings, poems, sculptures, etc. accompanied by music, to achieve the community engagement that leads automatically to sustainability and harmony. There will also be displayed the Art works of the winners of the last “Inner Peace” UNESCO BMW Competition. This program can enter in the category of support for any age and class. It can promote resilience and communication incorporating art, after school activities, mentorship, support groups, skill training, etc. This program can be a great help for behavioral health care, emotional, social and cognitive development.

Let us now experience the state of inner peace meditation. It is spontaneous and simple! Simply follow the hand placement sequence and say the verbal affirmations to yourself quietly. For each affirmation, repeat several times and say them slowly and deeply from your heart. Let yourself enjoy the experience! Once you reach and say the last affirmation at the top of the head, simply enjoy the mental silence and watch any thoughts just go by as if watching the thoughts going across a movie screen. This is your time to reset the bar of stress, so give yourself this time to enjoy! Once you open your eyes, see how your outer world now is preceived with more calm, clarity and softness.
